“Tautoko” relates to support and advocacy. Our unique Tautoko Network enables more accessible information sharing and collaboration across the local community sector. Our programme includes events within Christchurch City as well as the Hurunui, Selwyn and Waimakariri Districts.

Regional Training Opportunities

An interactive introduction to the concept of storytelling, including exploring its purpose and importance, and beginning to identify stories and their application in your context.

This lunchtime session is designed to support community organisations and not-for-profits navigating funding in a changing landscape. You’ll hear directly from funders, with practical advice on what they’re looking for and how to strengthen your funding applications in 2026.

This session explores the development of methods for measuring the contribution volunteers make to an organisation and society. We’ll explore how those methods work, their pros and cons, why Volunteer Managers should measure volunteering and how to use the data you produce.

In this session, we’ll explore why best-practice volunteer recruitment and onboarding matters – and how getting it right from the very beginning helps volunteers feel energised, engaged and set up for success throughout their journey with you.
