Glenda is the ‘face’ of Volunteering Canterbury. She is often out and about presenting and advocating for volunteering, with her encyclopaedic knowledge of local for-purpose organisations and the wider volunteering environment. She is the key contact person for our member organisations and also coordinates our Group Volunteering projects linking all sorts of groups, businesses, schools and service groups, with local community organisations. She also manages our unique Tautoko Network support group, as well as coordinating Student Volunteer Expos, and other community events. Glenda is in the office Monday to Friday.
Alison is responsible for the bits that keep the office ticking – grant applications, finances, strategic planning, and keeping updated with trends to support the direction of the organisation to meet the needs of those we support in the community. Alison is in the office Monday to Thursday.
Tammy manages our Social Media channels, and keeps our website up to date, gathering Volunteer stories, photos, news and resources to share. She also coordinates community projects such as Family Volunteering Days, Volunteer Surveys and our Volunteer Newsletter. Tammy is in the office on Tuesdays.
Sandi is another of our amazing office volunteers! She helps keep our connections strong by making regular courtesy calls to our Members, checking in, updating details and providing another point of contact to the community organisations we support. Sandi is in the office on Wednesdays.
Mary Ellen is our amazing office volunteer! She has been supporting Volunteering Canterbury for many years now, and helps to keep things ticking over smoothly. She is the primary contact for anyone who ‘drops in’ to the office, and is available by appointment to help volunteers register and find volunteering opportunities. Mary Ellen is in the office on Mondays.
